Case Management software specialist, Eclipse Legal Systems, has announced the signing of its first Australian client.
Sydney-based firm, 1car1, has selected Eclipse’s Proclaim system as the backbone for its new Personal Injury claims department.
1car1 is a worldwide organisation, with branches in the UK, USA and Australia, providing a full range of vehicle services from hire through to accident management and legal claims. The UK section utilises a bespoke version of Eclipse’s Proclaim to manage its client portfolio and day-to-day activities. It was the UK arm’s success with the system that convinced the Australian operation to adopt it for PI claims management.
Eclipse is now keen to further its antipodean operations, and is in discussions with several law firms who are investigating business process management and workflow systems to manage volume caseloads.
Eclipse’s Sales Director, Russell Thomson, comments on the signing:
“Coming hot on the heels of record results for our financial year 2006-7, this international signing is a further indication of Eclipse’s ambitions and ongoing growth strategies. Taking Proclaim to new markets has been a firm ethos of ours for some time now, and staking a claim in Australia opens up fantastic potential for geographical expansion. We are delighted that 1car1 Australia has chosen Eclipse as its IT partner, and we hope to announce more international signings on an ongoing basis!”
