Established in July 2015, Smooth Law is a modern progressive law firm providing claimant legal services to a wide range of clients. The firm prides itself on operating as an entirely paperless office, communicating with clients via email, telephone and SMS text messaging for speed and efficiency.
As a new start-up with ambitious plans, Smooth Law needed a flexible and scalable practice management software solution to enable effortless in-house development of workflows and case types.
Furthermore, the practice was looking for a software provider that could equal its ambitious plans, and could demonstrate its ability to continue moving forward within the legal sector, and strive to improve its software and services.
Smooth Law implemented the Proclaim Personal Injury Case Management system, as well as Eclipse’s fully integrated practice management and financial accounting toolset to streamline internal procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
Since implementation, Smooth Law has taken full advantage of Proclaim’s inherent flexibility and created a bespoke case type for Holiday Sickness claims, designed entirely in-house using the Personal Injury workflow as a platform.
Additionally, the practice has developed a specific client journey using the new ‘Option Images’ feature (available in v3.3.1). Smooth Law’s clients now have the ability to view the stages of their claim via straightforward images – vital to provide transparency to clients on their journey through the claims process. Furthermore, they can view up-to-the-minute information due to the high-level of in-built automation, meaning case stages are instantaneously updated to correspond with actions taken by fee earners.
The additional toolsets are providing future-proof and modernised approaches to keeping in contact with clients, ensuring they receive relevant case information, with minimal input from staff. This in turn, means Smooth Law can concentrate on increasing case volumes but with the added reassurance that current clients remain informed.
