InterResolve, the independent claims resolution specialist, is pleased to announce that a bespoke case management system, developed to its specification by Eclipse Legal Systems, has been delivered and installed.
The system has been designed to assist InterResolve to operate its Bodily Injury Claims Scheme (IR:BICS) on a high volume basis. Simon Goldhill, InterResolve’s Chief Operating Officer comments:
“We needed a bespoke system as our process is designed for resolution of claims, rather than just case management, and we operate between both sides, not on one side or the other. The system also had to be capable of handling high volumes and have a user friendly front-end for each side to access case information online. Eclipse offered not only a very robust platform with Proclaim, but also the skills and experience to adapt it to our specific needs.”
The system will allow InterResolve to manage the resolution of personal injury claims under IR:BICS efficiently and at large volumes, enabling their facilitators, InterResolve’s key human resource, to concentrate on settling claims fairly and quickly.
Another key feature of the new system is its ability for all parties involved to track the progress of a claim from any computer connected to the internet. Mr Goldhill added:
“One of our fundamentals was scalability. This system gives us the capacity to handle tens of thousands of claims at any one time. All claimants, insurers, solicitors, employers, local authorities and other users of the InterResolve scheme will be able to track real-time progress in a secure online environment.”
Eclipse Marketing Manager, Darren Gower, comments on the project:
“One of the key reasons for our growth and success over the years is Proclaim’s flexibility to adapt to a huge range of business needs. We were delighted to be given the opportunity to develop a bespoke system for such a dynamic and proactive team as InterResolve. We look forward to a long and very successful relationship!”
InterResolve launched its Bodily Injury Claims Scheme earlier this year, providing claimants with access to independent legal advice on personal injury claims without the need to retain law firms where liability is admitted – a first in the UK. This way, claims InterResolve, the advice is provided by specialist personal injury lawyers within a fixed fee structure based on the complexity of the claim with legal costs reduced by between 50% and 80% in most cases.
Legal advice is provided by members of LawAlliance, the UK-wide claimant lawyer network set up specifically for the InterResolve scheme, and will be made available to claimants at beginning of the claims process to identify whether early settlement can be achieved.
